Thoughts from Lesson 4- (Genesis 19:15-26)

This week we learned about Lot's wife and how she became a pillar of salt for looking back.

In our present lives being saved Christians, we too can sometimes take a glimpse at our "worldly life" and maybe feel tempted to do or act like we use to. Thank God, for mercy and grace because I believe we would've become just like Lot's wife a pillar of salt, for many times that we do let our old selves pop up again.
We have to understand that we sleep with the enemy every night, and our enemy is our own flesh!
If we don't commit ourselves 100 percent to God and to His statues, we can easily fall into our old ways without even realizing it. The flesh doesn't want what the Holy Spirit wants; the flesh wants to always do the opposite of the Holy Spirit! However, when we pray and follow God wholeheartedly, He will give us Strength to overcome any desires of the flesh. We should never look back, but instead look forward to the many ways that God can use our testimony to impact other people's lives.
